Which heavyweight had the best 1-2?

    Joe Louis
    Muhammad Ali
    Larry Holmes
    Lennox Lewis
    Vitali Klitschko
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Tyson Fury

    Maybe someone else?

Wlad for me and it probably isn't close. What I particularly like is that he keeps his balance throughout. Sure he could hit harder but that would mean giving up his balance and he tried never to do that.

And he was still one of the hardest hitters in HW history. If not the hardest.

But giving up your balance doesn't make you hit harder. Hitting hard and balance come from the exact same place and that is the constant motion of your weight transferring from one foot to the other. You chain the weight transfers to build momentum without sacrificing balance, which is why Joe Louis is the most effective combination puncher in heavyweight history.

It’s Joe Louis, any weight division for me.

    I love Harold Johnson’s 1-2 though.

    Thomas Hearns?
    Alexis Arguello ?
    Anyone with me?
How about Ali, especially in his prime.

Hate to keep it at heavies but George Foreman had a great 1-2 and used his 1 to hide his 2 very well. And may the Lord have mercy on you if you don't see that 2.
