Including today. On legacy/impact, not h2h. I'd rate it:

    1Ali
    2.Lewis
    3. Foreman
    4. Holmes
    5-6. Wlad and Vitali tied
    7. Tyson
    8. Frazier
    9.Holyfield
    10. Bowe
    11.(big drop off) Joshua
    12. Norton
    13. Fury
    14. Witherspoon
    15. Wilder

Best of era means a lot to me in rankings, hence proven in era #3s or 4s like Frazier, Holyfield, and Norton not fairing too well under my ranking. Joshua and Fury could still rise or fall( I like Fury over Joshua h2h, but Ajs had the more impressive overall career to this point). Wilder edges in with 5 successful title defenses: while bad quality for true atgs, his opponents are no different than those of lesser belt holders with one or two defenses. Honorable mention includes Sanders, Rahman, Byrd, Peter, drug marred Povetkin.

Who do you rate in your top 15?

Fury, Wilder and Joshua aren't even close to my top 15. I'll put mine up after I give it some thought.

They are very debatable, definitely. I just think there is a huge gap between the top ten and everyone else, and they have laid a good groundwork. Who is in yours?

I edited into my last post, I'll get one up, I have to contemplate it for a few minutes first.

Lol Wilder isn't even top 15 of the last 10 years nevermind 50... I'd have Fury and Joshua head of him as does boxrec who rank Wilder at 200+ of all time showing how poor his opponents have been...

He'd rank higher on a worst of the last 50 years list than best of for me.

If you include Wilder you have to include his daddy Dustin Nichols.

Good lists from people. Seems to be wide agreement about the first 10-12 names, then alot of disagreement, which is how I see it.

As far as Wilder, there's alot to dislike about his choice of comp, I'm the first to criticize. He may not belong on here, but its also easy to go too far in the other direction. There are less than two dozen fighters over this era who have consistently beat top 20ish hws like he has. My inclusion of his name was largely toward making that point.
