Regarding your first point that would been the obvious choice given the fact Bowe blatently dodged Lewis, though I personally feel Lewis would have always had Bowes number.

I can't say the same with certainty regarding Lewis vs Tyson. I think Tyson vs Lewis years before their actual fight would have been a belter. A 50/50 fight. :yep

Holyfield beats any version of Tyson from '91 onwards, before that it's a toss up (Tyson early, Holyfield late?)

Bowe had the potential tools to pose Tyson definite problems, however his vunerable mentality and leaky defense would likely cost him in this one.

Tyson vs Holyfield in 1991 was the fight i wanted.

Why because this is when i think Tyson would have busted Evander a new *******. 1996 was to late for this fight to mean anything.

:-( I can't see Tyson (who was a HEADhunter at that point) beating Evander in 1991. Holyfield would not have fought Tyson the same way he fought Bert Cooper.
However, i think tyson-holyfield in 1991 would have been an awesome match (i even have a promo t-shirt from the fight that never happend)

Appears that Holyfield/Tyson in 1991 and Bowe/Lewis in 1993 are by far the two most wanted heavyweight fights from the 90s that didn't happen. Incidentally, they are the 2 fights I would have wanted to see the most as well.

On the classic forum here, Holyfield/Tyson in 91 up by a vote
On the general forum, Bowe/Lewis in 93 is up by a few votes

Holyfield/Tyson (1991) and Bowe/Lewis are clear voting favorites.

I would like both matches about equally, but the fact that we did saw Tyson vs Holyfield when both were still very good (in my opinion), made me vote for Lewis/Bowe since we only saw them as amatures.

Yeah it's a shame these fights didn't come off. I really think the 90s could have potentially matched or possibly exceeded the golden age of the 70s had we gotten most of these fights. We also would have a much better idea as to who was the best of the big 4 - Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, or Bowe.

If only Tyson was acquitted and Bowe (Rock Newman's fault mostly I think) was willing to fight Lewis things would have been much more interesting.

Looks like Holyfield Tyson 91 wins it by a nose over Bowe Lewis 93

I think had just those 2 fights happened (Tyson-Holy 91 and Bowe-Lewis 93) the stock of all 4 of those fighters would be higher and the 90s heavies would be seen as perhaps challenging the 70s as the best era of heavyweights

I think Lewis beats Bowe no matter when they fought in the 1990's though. Mostly because Lewis held a win over Bowe in the ATM's. I expect and in good faith, Lewis would have repeated this feat.

Bowe and Lewis in 1995. I've been watching a bit of Bowe recently, and I've forgotten how entertaining a fighter he was.

Bowe Lewis in 1995 would have been all Lewis.

    1993 was a different story.
