those pitty pat arm punches even hurt. some were merely blocked or missed, but one or two of those that landed will hurt. pac's opponent will just succumb to those 'pitty pat punches' that they could not see where the next punch lands. and as the saying goes, "punches you don't see hurt the most".

If you see JMM's combo, when he's on the offense, it seems like his power is almost equivalent to pac's combo (except pac's left bomb of course). but when jmm unleashes his combo from the counter, these are jmm's strongest because his opponent is coming forward and it helped jmm's counter to add up to its power.

its like this, Marquez throws less punches but lands more , pac throws more and lands about the same as marquez..Marquez puts his punches better together but pac has more snap to them

It only looks that way but it's not. Pacquiao has impulsive punches. Some might say it comes from his big wrists, or a pulse from his calves, or even from the shoulders. I think it's a combination of all three plus his core muscles. Manny has very fast muscles, the impulsive force AT THE END(this is crucial) of his punch. IMO.

I don't disagree with the answer being JMM. However, I completely disagree with your stance about Pac.

Why do haters always feel the need to demean other boxers for the sake of putting theirs on a pedestal?

    Really don't get it.

Pac is better. JMM need fighters to come at him to unleash his combinations. Pac does it when he's attacking or defending. JMM is more text-book, but Pac's combos are so unconventional that its even harder to defend against.

JMM has more punch variety in his combos, they're also more fluid and precise. Plus, he can do all that **** while going backwards. Manny is an excellent combination puncher as well, but Juan is better.

HM: Rafa Marquez, Yuriokis Gamboa, Chad Dawson, Miguel Cotto, Canelo Alvarez.

Pacquiao is a heavy handed fighter it seems. A rare thing for someone with speed.
    Duran was the same way.

The "pitter pat" so called arm punching coming from those heavy handed demons still hurt like hell.

P4P, JMM takes this honor of course...

I will take flak for this, but Arreola also throws good combos for someone his size and conditioning.
