The Solly in Liverpool has always been good.collyhurst gym in Manchester too. Both cities have loads of good clubs which have been going for years
Below are few clubs that always seem to do well and have a good reputation: Birtley Darlington Everton Red Triangle Salisbury ABC (Liverpool) Rotunda Knowsley Vale ABC Burmantofts Repton West Ham Dale Youth Finchley Earlsfield Pinewood Starr ABC Guildford If I was 10 years old and could pick any club in the country to join, I would join either Birtley or Pinewood Starr. Both Clubs have been producing some really good lads (from scratch) over the past few years.
From what I've heard Repton is the most successful club in the country. Salisbury has produced a few commonwealth/Olympians in recent years though
when I was boxing 40 years those 4 Liverpool clubs were good but there seemed to be dozens and most of the kids were well prepared.they wouldn't put their raw novices in for a first fight unless the lads had been training for a couple of years and could aquit themselves well. I have to say the standard of amateur boxing in the UK is vastly superior to when I boxed.in those days anybody could and would go in your corner.
