Lomachenko. If he fights Jose Ramirez first, before going after the Salido-Cruz winner, it could be the most spectacular start to a career in the modern era.
Would be spectacular, but I really, really doubt it's gonna happen like that. It's Joe Normal who gets the viewing figures up, and Joe Normal doesn't give a **** 'bout Loma yet. They ain't gonna risk building up a big fight and paying someone big $s then risk having Vasyl put in an outstanding 'technical' performance which leaves the casuals bored. I'm not saying it's right, I'm high on Loma too, but it just doesn't work like that. They need to build the guy up, find the match-ups which make him look exciting - they put a lot of $s in they gonna use every trick to maximise the return.
I know what you're saying but Loma has an uphill battle to be an attraction anyway. He doesn't have an inbuilt fan-base waiting for him, so he's going to have to go out there and make people take notice. One way of doing that is building him up the way you suggest but another, albeit riskier way, is to go after a world-title in his second or third fight. That would be extremely easy to hype up and would probably garner some mainstream attention, the likes of which escapes more established fighters. That strategy could backfire but it could pay off big.
