Best American fighters?

Who are they right now? The old guard is long removed. We saw an RJJ today that had no business in the ring.

I dont know if I could do this in any order without research.

1) Chad Dawson
2) Paul Williams

Then who? Some notable names. Mosely, DLH, Pavlik, Bhop, Cunningham, Taylor, Forrest, Judah, Malignaggi, Juan Diaz, Bradley, Holt, Berto ??

Who do you guys have and how do you have them ranked?

 

He is retired. he was clearly the best p4p, he went out on top.

 

I had him beating johnson. It stands to follow though. how is Calzaghe getting so much credit for beating Jones after dawson just beat the guy that KFTO Jones.

Dawson would knock RJJ out of the ring and possibly kill him at this point.:hey

 

Maybe it is Paul Williams at welter. He is an absolute freak and a beast of fighter.

 

He has already surpassed everything Lacy has done. And please, if you cannot see the difference in the talent level between them..well your a no hoper. I am not sure he would beat JC, but he is a very diversified fighter with a lot of ability and skills.

 

Dont know anything about him, just looked him up and the only guy to go the distance with him

HBO or Showtime will pay Calzaghe..The usa networks are the only people paying the UK fighters anyhow..

Besides JC can fill any size stadium and sell it out in a matter of hours.

Yah thats why they make the big fights at 2am UK time, like with zoo so that US networks can bank roll them. And if they are so rich and the Uk fans are so great ANY fight will pull in the big money.

So you agree with me, unlike your previous post, that money would not be an issue if JC fought Dawson in Wales.

I mean if Lacy and Calzaghe generated good money..Dawson and Calzaghe would surpass that especially in light of Joe's increased popularity. Add into the mix that the Uk doesnt need USA money to get a huge fight return. Whats the problem?
