The vast majority of top talent from the US are out-boxers or counter-punchers. Shakur, Crawford, Tank, Keyshawn, Hitchins, Boots, and Fulton are the best US fighters currently imo and none of them are really pressure fighters. The only guys I can think of are Figueroa, GAR, and Benavidez but that's it, and two of market themselves as Mexicans anyway.
torrez, vergil, schofield, bam. and they market themselves as mexican the way the furys market themselves as gypsies.
There aren't a lot of pressure fighters in general. It's a tough way to make a living. Pressure fighters take the most punishment out of anybody and they also tend to have short careers. But it's also a nightmare to deal with if executed properly. They grind you down until you have nothing left and quit.
