Dave Coldwell when he told Ryan Ryodes that he told him he would get hurt in his fight with Jamie Moore at the end of the 1st round, great bit of work as ryan could have felt sorry for himself

Duva in Taylor-JCC I. Telling Taylor he needed the last round to clinch it, not sure taylor would have fought any differently if Duva hadn't have said that though.

It was really good advice though..... the sort most trainers would only give when they really mean it and are desperate for their man to pull his finger out :-( - in ref to Ingle & Superbad

Trying to think of some really good pieces of advice other than the blatantly obvious ones.....

It's easy to pick examples of trainers losing their marbles and thinking with their hearts rather than their heads - but I'm not so sure I could say that I wouldn't be exactly the same in some instances.

I wouldn't send Taylor out to war with Chavez though - old Duva must have had a funny turn if he felt the fight was even.

    --------------------------------------------

Thell Torrance should probably have stopped Bowe vs Golota II
Teddy Atlas should have ordered Moorer onto the bike - rather than being so macho in the Foreman fight
Pepe Correa told Lewis to ''knock the bum out'' in McCall I
Billy Graham might have done more to calm Hatton down vs Mayweather - but was brilliant in the Tszyu fight

 I agree mate i was just laughing at how bad superbad really is...he can't even win the last round after that warning, he really earned that nickname.

Yeah for all the wrong reasons - I'm convinced Superbad was meant in ''badass'' terms :think

I was a bit pissed at the time but I'm not sure Paul Cook gave Nicky the best advice against Martinez.... nor Mitchell against Johanneson.... who was being well guided by Frank Maloney in that one.

Yeah the other night i noticed Darke and Watt moaning about the music in between rounds. The adverts do **** me off as well as Adam Smith's constant apologizing for swearing. That pisses me right off..

I agree totally. I never been mad on Paul Cook's training. No disrespect don't know the guy but get impression bit of a poser. Shirt off with gold chain around neck doing pads before fight etc. I think Mitchell has already come on no end since moving to Tibbs.

Adam Smith pisses me off full stop.

He's like our version of Max Kellerman - to be honest I'd sooner have Max... at least he can comment without dick riding somebody.

    Edit....

On Cook, I don't think he is a bad trainer, but one of those that is limited to his son only - a bit like Jack Mosley but not as good.

Tibbs is pretty underrated, you often see him on FFN working as a cutman, when he's a better trainer than the man giving the orders..... he worked wonders with Nigel Benn after all.

Yeah i love Tibbs. He made me laugh the other night in Corner with Dodson he erupted out of no where and told Dodson to ''bomb him''

Yeah Cook ain't bad can't knock him but by looks can only take you so far then you gotta go elsewhere.

I know it don't make any sense...if someone is watching to men trade blows and there's blood and it's on a sports channel then the person watching knows the score. He's not for me Smith...just can't get into fights when he's on mic.

If parents are willing to let their six year olds stay up and watch grown men beating the **** out of each other I'm sure they'll have heard people swearing on TV.

It's not like calling someone a wanker in front of your grandmother for **** sake
