Best and worst active British referees

I did like Mickey Vann tbh.
I thought Gomez was going to chin him after he stopped him vs Johanneson.

 

In all honesty I don't pay much attention to the ref but Mickey Vann's performance for the Tszyu-Hatton fight really comes to mind for bad refereeing, it was practically a wrestling match in there.

 

Criminal the way he let the Klitscko v Briggs fight carry on.imo Anyone else like Jack Reiss?

 

I can't think of that many I'm a fan of to be honest. I wish there was a Uk version of Steve Smoger

 

He’s bent, end of. Froch v Groves 1 stoppage was disgusting, he couldn’t wait to step in and end it. Also especially with him liking Froch’s status on Facebook about the match the night before. He reffed the fight ffs. Should have been banned.

 

Worst is a toss up between Foster and O'Connor. They're consistently terrible. Can only imagine they're in the same Masonic Lodge as heads of BBBoC which is why they still get big fights.

Best is Steve Gray who seems to know what he's doing which puts him head and shoulders above most British refs.

 

Steve Gray also disqualified Bradley Saunders for a blatant headbutt when he was the home fighter. Had no hesitation with throwing him out the ring.

 

That kinda tells you how bad referees in the UK and all over the world actually are, that we're praising the ones that actually seem to be impartial like they should.

 

Mickey Vann didn’t referee that fight.

 

O’Connor terrible. I’ll also never forgive him for Dodd Cardle 1 or Gutchknect. I think IJL will get someone badly hurt one day with his indecisiveness.
The only red I’d feel properly safe with if I was fighting is Steve Gray or Loughlin.

I think Steve Gray is the best in the UK. I used go think Victor Luaghlin was the best but he's been poor of late.
