    The best nicknames personify the fighter and you ring off the nick name when referring to the boxer

    Sugar Ray - Leonard/Robinson
    Prince Naseem
    Iron Mike

    When Degale used 'Chunky' you have to wonder who was advising him

    Fun Time - Sounds good, but not when your motivation is being questioned

    Maidana is "Chinaman" which is the kind of **** they had 100 years ago. Johnny Dundee "The Scotch Wop" and Sam "The Boston Tar Baby" Langford were terrible nicknames.

    ''Canelo'' is pretty ****.

    I think there's got to be a bit of correlation between the nickname and the fighter's name/style.

    Hitman Hearns/Hatton is quite good.
