Wilde was knocking out grown men as a kid in excess of over 200 pounds. If Arturs Ahmetovs(a journeyman who fought as a Jr Welterweight with only 2 ko's) nearly put Shields to sleep while having head gear on, I shutter to think what an overhand right by Wilde would do to Shields mandible.

Professional boxers over 200lbs? I don't think so, but would be genuinely interested if you have a verifiable source that suggested otherwise.

Shields could beat most non-boxer 200lbs+ males in a boxing match, too.

Anyone who thinks a broad is beating an ATG boxer needs to get their heads checked.

Exactly. I can't work out how serious some of these posts on here are.

Any decent male boxer at any weight pulling their punches would still knock her into next week.
The less gentlemanly types would murder the poor girl quicker than you can say misogyny.

Well hundreds of Wilde's fights were unrecorded, with records by his own admission being 800 plus. Wilde fought in the 1910's where professional boxing was still illegal in most parts of the civilized world, he fought open weight against any man who would dare face him and would usually knock them out. These were hardened men who fought other hardened men in sanctioned prize fights with an audience, rules and prize money. Wilde's ring biography even states "100s of his bouts , fought on the top spit to an audience of miners on pay night or in the Saturday night booth run by "Professor" Jack Scarrott on the vacant piece of land at the top of the street took place before anyone thought of recording contests. Even printed record is not complete. " Now as far as I know, the biology of man and woman has not changed, in fact I think men were even tougher back then compared to now. The fact that Wilde was knocking out hundreds of men in sanctioned open weight fights is proof to me that he can knock Shields out who again, got knocked out by a feather fisted journeyman posted above.

I doubt Shields can beat most men off the street 200 plus pounds who are actually in shape and have some fighting ability, she'll win some but a lot will give her a run for her money. if Shields switch places and careers with Jimmy Wilde, she'd have more losses than wins, I'd tell you that.

Yeah I'm aware of Wilde's claims of quantity of fights. I seriously doubt he beat professional boxers over 200lbs. Trust me, if he did, that would be documented.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Having witnessed male vs female sparring, I'd guess the best female HW would beat most, if not all, male minimumweights. A woman won the only female pro boxer vs male pro boxer contest that I'm aware of and they were about the same size. Granted, the man was rubbish, whilst the woman average, but I can't imagine the capability discrepancy between them was as great or impactful as the size between a HW and Minimumweight.

None at all. In fact, I doubt Clarissa could any male world level fighter if they're trying to knock her out. There's a reason we don't let women fight men.

Well , when a bunch of teenage boys dominate world class professional women players on a soccer ( Football) field .
It suggest Sheilds would bite off much more than she could chew with any male boxer who's an ATG over the featherweight limit.
In fact, most experienced street brawling males over 150 lbs, may be more than should could handle. Even in a boxing ring.
Genetics brothers. If women could truly compete with men on a level playing field.
It would've been done by now....

Completely agree. A fighter like say Antonio Avelar who wasn't an ATG and was a tiny fighter would send this broad to the stratosphere with one punch. And even much lesser fighters would beat her easily too.

Realistically the best that she could hope for would be to beat a regional level male fighter.

There are men and women's sports for a reason.

That is not to say that she is not an incredible athlete, or that female fighters are not dangerous.

I once saw a 5' 2'' female amateur boxer, absolutely destroy a man a head taller than her, when she was working on the doors.

You won't have heard of her.

I wouldn’t be surprised if her punches had no effect on him

She'd have a chance against prime John Mugabe. She would be 175 fighting a middleweight

I just checked boxrec and noticed this Clarissa Shields has 3 KOs in 17 pro fights against women!
    Lol.
And people are seriously saying she might beat an "ATG" man!
if you watch a few seconds of her fights and compare to to male boxer, she just looks like she could be a pudgy slow, no power 'bum' with a 1-29 record. By men's standards.

They'd be calling him Jake The Muss if he took this fight.
