    **

Lance Armstrong was not alone...the Top 10 in those years were all on PED

Jones was not alone too...that's for sure

Jones is the best athlete in history of boxing.

To me the question of athleticism is what traits does a fighter have absent any boxing skills and were those traits used to win fights. This usually boils down to hand speed, reflects, footwork and power.

On this level I would pick RJJ followed by Ali. Whitaker might also make a top 5 list.

    Someone mentioned Bo Jackson.

How do you think Jackson would have done in boxing?

This is ridiculous. Size has nothing to do with how athletic you are. Take 100 yard dash, the faster guy isn't always going to be the bigger guy. Take long distance running, same thing. swimming, the list goes on and on. Floyd who I don't consider to be in the category of RJJ is certainly a lot more athletic than your average, or even better than average, 200lb guy.

I don't know how you answer a question like this, without knowing how well he can take a punch and how much power he has in his punches.

Someone like Michael Grant who looked like a 6'7" bodybuilder couldn't really take a punch and Lewis destroyed him. By most accounts Grant was a great athlete, but that never really mattered in the end.

Rubbish really small guys (<140) can't compete with big guys when it comes to all round athleticism. Its just a fact.

A lot of small guys have speed and agility but they are not explosive enough and lack power. The small guys who have power tend to be stiff as **** with no speed or mobility.

Take your average male sprinter for example I doubt any 100m sprinter at the Olympics in recent memory would way less than 140lbs. They tend to be 160lbs minimum, Usain Bolt is over 200lbs.

Michael Phelps would be over 200lbs, and no male swimmers weigh less than 140 that are any good. Decent simmers tend to be 6ft+ with long torso's.

FFS even your average marathon runner would be over 140lbs I reckon.

I'm an averagish 200lbs guy I can bench 300 lbs run 100m around 13 sec's. It would take a great athlete sub 140 to beat me at any physical type sport. Against guy's my own size i'd just be mid pack, hardly surprising.

Its the Dirrell brothers by far.

However being a great athlete does not make you a great boxer.

Frank Bruno was on another level but was wooden in the ring.

Im 41 now , buy I loved playing against the big guys like yourself , id run rings round you.

At 140 (10 stone in the UK) I ran 11.2. I could hit that number into my early 30's.

By the way Pele , Diego Maradonna , George Best, Messi all 5 7 and under. And they didn't do too bad.

    Peace.

Funny how Excusequiao got old in between Algieri fight and Floyd. It was USADA making sure he was clean and Floyd proving Scrubquiao didn't belong in the ring with him.
