During the Usyk vs Dubois fight there was the low blow controversy. Many say that Usyk doesn't like body shots, but who does?.

Who are the best boxers at taking body shots? Now and in history?

Kind of like chin but for body shots

Ali had an amazing resilience to both chin and body shots.

Usyk has fought two if not the two hardest punching CWs in

Gassiev who is not only one of the sport's most savage punchers but also one of its most savage body punchers.

And Briedis who hits very very hard with both hands

And two of the hardest punching HWs in AJ and Dubois

Then throw in the likes of Bellew, Glowacki, Chisora, Huck, and Hunter who are all big punchers or very big punchers

And massive or big punchers like Majidov, Joyce, Nistor, Beterbiev to name but a few in the WSB/amateurs

It's not like these guys hitting him to the body aren't known murderous punchers

Ali took some sickening body shots from Foreman. Ridiculous.

Plenty of tough guys like Chuvalo and the Raging Bull, but Ali always stuck in my mind as taking monstrous shots. Foreman, Shavers, Lyle, Frazier, Norton, Foster. Plus the likes of Quarry, Ellis, Patterson, or Chuvalo. Digusting firepower faced through his career.

Guys went to Wlads body a bunch and I don’t remember Wlad ever even flinching from them. Peter, Brewster, I believe Chagaev did a few times, Byrd tried his damndest… list goes on. I mean makes sense because Wlad was built like a brick **** house!

The answer here is Ali,,,,Joe Frazier landed enough bombs on his mid section in Manilla to wipe out the top 10 today.

Pretty much true. Mayweather took really hard shots from Delayhoya, Cotto, Pacquiao and Maidana. The only time I saw him react to a body shot is when he was old against Conor Mcgregor and it was lower than what Dubois hit Usyk with.

according to canelo fans erislandy lara. Alot of those shots were blocked on elbows and arms though. Otherwise he wouldnt have been able to step on the gas late.

Tom Sharkey had his ribs broken and battered until they pierced his skin, leaving a permanent scar on his ribcage, against James J. Jeffries.

Despite this, he still kept attacking until the end of the 25 round fight. He also weighed 185 to Jeffries' 210.

I suspect that some old timers might have had some of the best resistance to body punching because it was a bigger part of the game due to the kind of gloves worn and the allowance by refrees for more infighting. If a fighter wasn't durable to the body back then, they probably wouldn't make it to the top ranks.

Ali comes to mind. He showed he had an iron body against dudes like Foreman, Frazier, Shavers, etc. In fact, one of the only times I've seen Ali clearly show he was hurt to the body is with Norton in the third fight
