I would elect Evander Holyfield, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano, and maybe Joe Louis? Who do you guys think?
At first i thought you meant currently active fighters, because other than maybe Areolla few heavyweights now adays commit to the body. AS far as fighters of the past Frazier and Marciano were two of the best. They were both short stocky guys who stylistically had to work up close where the body was an available target. They both punished their opponent's midsections. Joe Louis and Sonny Liston were abit taller and longer than Rocky and Joe. That is why they were better known for their punishing jabs because it fit their styles and builds better to work off their jabs to set up punches. Both were mean body punchers though....particularly Louis. He worked his body shots seemlessly into his offensive bursts. Opponents would be shocked when heavy blows sunk into their midsections during a combination.
wow you're a real hater Did anybody elect Ali as the best body puncher ever? no. I don't think Valuev is the best body puncher either, I would think that Frazier or Marciano, they're small heavyweights that can dig to the body very well. And Ali never went to the body, so what are you talking about..
Of all time? Yeah.. You really do hate Ali. I don't have anything against Klitschko but holyfield got robbed against him and it looks like he doesnt have any skill sorry .
I'm sticking to current fighters. . .Odlanier Solis. Watch the guy work both the right and left hooks to the body. Very brutal.
Andrew Golota always had excellent body-work. He was hurting Chris Byrd real bad to the body. Byrd somehow took a couple of knees from body shots, but Don King's paid-off ref called them slips.
If you are talking all time then George Foreman warrants being in your list, in the top one or two, his bodypunches were crazy.
