Arguello's brutal body punching finish on Royal Kobayashi was also a thing of beauty as well. That final liver shot that dropped Kobayashi looked like a stab straight to the gut.

Honestly it's really hard to separate these 3 when it comes to body punching mastery.

    Chavez hands down.

All three could do serious damage but Chavez lived there. That short left hook to the liver? Career-ending stuff. He didn’t just go to the body — he broke guys with it. Round after round, same pace, same pressure, until they folded. Pure Mexican textbook punishment.

Duran? Savage body puncher too, especially at lightweight. But his body work was more opportunistic — part of that wild, creative offense. He’d tear you up, sure, but it wasn’t the same grind-it-out, break-your-ribs method Chavez used.

Arguello had beautiful technique and serious power — super clean, straight shots. He could hurt you to the body, but he was more about precision than destruction. He didn’t live down there the way the other two did.

End of the day, Chavez made it a lifestyle. He built his whole game plan around body work and buried guys with it. Duran was a savage, Arguello was lethal — but Chavez was a surgeon. He's my pick.

They were all excellent punchers and I have no problem with whoever people select. But if forced to choose I would probably pick Duran as the best puncher of those three. Why ? Because he carried his power very well through both old age and with moving up in divisions.

The way these 3 work the body is pure poetry. Would hate to be on the receiving end of a body blow from them.
