Best body punchers in the last 10 years?

Murray had a vicious left hook. Unfortunately that was pretty much his only money punch. We had a great domestic scene back at most of the weights.
Those names certainly bring back memories as well as the ridiculous titles that were floating around at the time.

Which fight was it that Kevin Bennett fought and he literally staggered the last few rounds to the finish whilst swallowing his own blood? It was like watching something out of Rocky.

 

It sure was mate, I think the Bennett fight may of been Jason Cook. The Earl fight was a war, he was winning IIRC and then fell apart.

 

Nah wasn't cook. If i recall it was one of those Commonwealth bouts against some random African road sweeper?

Calzaghe was a terrific body puncher

 

Currently I'd say:

Jason Booth is a cracking body puncher probably the best around in the UK at the minute. Throws brilliant combinations but I'd put all that down to the body work giving him the gaps for it.

Cleverly is another one currently who hits the body well to set up his combinations.

Brian Magee throws some cracking hooks to the body won the Larsen fight alone with those I'd say.

Lindsay when he landed on Simpson with the left hooks to the body early I thought he was going to slow Simpson down at least but he gave up on them.

Of the past 10 years, Ricky Hatton was the best body puncher. From domestic, European, Commonwealth, to World Level.........

He ****ed guys up, with his body punching.

There's not one other fighter "In this country", that you can say the same for.

Only Ricky Hatton.

His whole style and image, was built around body punching.

 

Scott Quigg looks like a decent body puncher, he stopped his opponent last Saturday with a terrific shot.
