I was gonna do 20 yrs but I knew we would get 90% of posters saying Whitaker or Chavez so I had to exclude those 2.

Ive been debating for a while now on who was the best boxer of the last 15 yrs - post JCC/Pea if you like - & I had narrowed it down to 2... Roy Jones & Floyd Mayweather.

After much thought & the re-watching of some old fights of both men, I came to the conclusion that the best boxer of the last 15 yrs is..........

    FLOYD MAYWEATHER

    Botswana :thumbsup

Wouldnt argue with Roy, he is my 2nd choice, I feel that Mayweather is a much better technical boxer than Roy who relied quite a lot on his athletic ability (nothing wrong with that at all) but dont forget, Floyd is also very athletic, not AS athletic as Roy but very athletic & IMO Mayweather kinda has the best of both worlds, the athlete with the ATG technical level complete skillset.

I thought Jones had something over Floyd when I saw the Toney fight, he was phenomenal but after watching the Gatti fight they drew level again.

I just feel Myweather is the more complete fighter with the large variety of boxing skills.

I agree. PBF was the better boxer. Roy had super human abilities but lacked fundamentals.

roy defo come on top. like he says ya'll musta forgotttt. what if he retired at the top of his game like mayweather did..it would be a different story. rrj was unbeaten for 16 years (excluding the disqualification). RRJ is a true boxing legend. For some reason i see mayweather as a extremely talented boxer/athelete but not a true boxing legend!

Whitaker was past his prime for the most part post '93. Jones is the correct pick, for certain.
