It’s a relatively recent addition to the sport (depending on how you measure time) so the old guys didn’t have it. I’d love to know who was first, but it mimics batters having their own music in baseball and probably some other things like that.

So what boxers had the best (for them) ring-walk tunes?

I’ll start with Ray Mancini, who came to the ring to “Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights)” by Pat Travers Band.

Didn't somebody a while back come in to "Mama said knock you out" by LL Cool Jay?

I always liked when BHOP came out to James Brown's It's a man's world. When you think about how hard that dude's life was before being a successful fighter, it truly fits him.

I think for a period of time when that song was hot and rap was fresh and new to a lot of people, it was probably every undercard fighter’s everywhere.

Maybe around 1990 when that song was released it was being played out but when Rosado( I'm pretty sure it was him) used it was more around 2008 I think. Around that time no one was using LL Cool J that i can remember of.

Pretty much a theme of Rumble in the Jungle in my eyes. Kabayel used it for his entrance against Makhmudov.

Larry Holmes, "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" - great beat, nice upbeat rhythm to enter the ring

I really liked Naoya Inoue’s ring walk with Tomayasu Hotei playing Battle Without Honor or Humanity on the guitar. Really cool.
