Hamed was the best with angles I reckon, untouchable at his peak, was totally done by the time he got Barrera, shame really.
Different fighter have different ways of going about it..Guys like Pac and Pryor are pretty dynamic and use sweeping movements when they create angles. But then you got more subtle operators like Napoles, who have pretty much the same result but with a more efficient delivery.
PAC by large margin. JMM second to pac.. JMM places his punches in angles his opponent never see coming.
Definitely. You don't realize how effectively those out-of-sight combinations/counters work until you see slow motion clips from Pac/Cotto or Marquez-Diaz.
Mike Tyson. He was great at maneuvering his opponent and cutting them off to setup combination from angles. Classic example he demonstrated in the recent documentary, he ducks the left jab, steps to the right side of his opponent so their shoulder is facing his chest, delivers a right to the body followed by a right uppercut then left hook or another uppercut. By stepping to the side he can't be hit because they are out of position, and they didn't see his punches coming. Goodnight Irene.
