Since there is a thread about the worst advice ever heard, what aobut the best? I've always liked Joe Goosen's advice to Chico during his fight with castillo.
Sergei Liakhovich's trainer Kenny Weldon for the Lamon Brewsster fight. Sergei would always get the best of exchanges and when ever Brewster was hurt on the ropes, Sergei always tried to finish it but Wheldon kept telling him not to, cause Brewster cannot be KO'd and Sergei was only wearing himself out giving Brewster an oppourtunity to take advantage of it.
Roger Bloodworth and Lou Duva gave outstanding advice to Golota in his rematch with Bowe when they repeatedly yelled "NO MORE BODY SHOTS!" :rofl:rofl:rofl
I think Floyd listens to every word roger has to say, I particulary liked how he encouraged to pressure Judah in early rounds, how he steped aside and let Floyd look at Zab accros the ring Saying smth like "hes affraid, he doesnt want to fight", and that was very true at the moment, Mayweather became more agressive, wich helped him to dominate Judah later on.
Angelo Dundee for every piece of advice he gave Leonard against Hagler, thought he did a great job in that one. Also for the unforgettable "**** YOU! I'm the chief second, STOP THE FIGHT!" In the Ali - Holmes fight (not boxing advice I know but he was the only voice of reason in Ali's corner that night)
Great choice, that whole fight I was on my feet watching it. Lamon Brewster is one of my favorite fighters, I kept saying to myself he's going to catch him late in this fight and knock him out, its too bad it didnt happen. Kenny Weldon did a great job in that fight, "If you think you can go toe to toe with this guy, your wrong", I thought he was saying some pretty good **** the whole fight.:good
to be honest they are the same thing in boxing. you could be koed by following good directions or knock a guy out with out following advice at all.
