Bump. I've got to get off my computer and start in on a boxing reading list one of these days.

Book: Al "Bummy" Davis vs. Murder Inc.: The Rise and Fall of the Jewish Mafia and an Ill-Fated Prizefighter.

A truly great book, it's long, but reads like a novel. Davis one of the forgotten punchers to come out of the great depression.

    Movie: Unforgivable Blackness: Jack Johnson.

I've got the two-disc DVD edition, truly great material used, very good documentary, very factual. The footage of Johnson is great.
