Teddy Atlas's is a good read, as are Mickey Walkers and Barney Ross's if you can get hold of them

Another good one is Gloves, Glory and God - The Henry Armstrong autobiography.

Four Kings, is a great read, also liked the Calzaghe Autobiography and the Frank Bruno bio was really eye opening and enjoyed that immensely too.

As I think most seem to agree on, Four Kings is a bloody brilliant read.

I'd also recommend War, Baby - about the Benn-McClellan fight. Well worth a read.

Ringside: A Treasury of Boxing Reportage by Budd Schulberg is terrific. That and Dark Trade and Four Kings would be my top three.

Schulbergs collection Ringside is my fav boxing book. A step from bareknuckle to modern day boxing through a collection of articles and fight reports.

I did not like that book, Eubanks and Benns books were good and so was Jack Dempseys book, in fact Dempseys was the best bar far and i cannot even remember what it is called. It was a very old paper back and i got from a jumble sale and subsequently lost it, gutted. it has excellent insight into his fighting era.
