Dark Trade by Donald McRae is excellent. I quite like The Last Great Fight by Joe Layden, its about Douglas-Tyson
Dark Trade !!!!! you have to read that!!!! by far the best boxing book ever... I liked Roberto Durans Bio too... and Norman Mailer's book on the rumble in the jungle... the fight
Four Kings ODLH:American Son Unforgivable Blackness Bernard Dunne:My story Muhammed Ali bio by Thomas Hauser The Fight by Norman Mailer
The Sweet Science by AJ Liebling. Series of brilliant essays on fights and fighters in the early 50s.

I have only read 1 boxing book, raging bull about jake lamotta. Its a good book but not a great book. But i do recommend it. Its very intresting if youre a fan of the raging bull
Ok so I ended up getting: Four Kings Sugar Ray- book based on SRR And Robert Duran Hands of Stone. Looking forward to cracking on with them. Cheers lads!
Aside from the ones already mentioned; McIlvanney on Boxing - Hugh McIlvanney Ringside; A Treasury of Boxing Reportage by Budd Schulberg
If you're into your heavyweights then a book called 'Kings of the Ring: The History of Heavyweight Boxing' is a must. Basically runs through bio's of every recognised Heavyweight champ from John L Sullivan to V. Klitschko. Also gives a great insight into how boxing evolved in the early days and some of the prominent fighters at the time. A top read
Master Of The Ring and The Lion And The Eagle are exellant for any boxing historians out there War Baby's a great little book and The Last Great Fight about Tyson vs Douglas is also brilliant probably better than the fight and what a great fight!!
