Ali. I loved how accurate it was. They didnt try to create a fictitious Ali. They showed his flaws, and triumphs. I thought it was really good and covered everything from his fights to his religion. It was nice to see.

The Great White Hope (Jack Johnson)
Hard Times (Bronson bare knuckle brawling)
Fat City (Stacy keach & Jeff Bridges)
The Set-Up (realistic boxing - shot in reverse; filmed like in real-time)

Not a film as such, but the factually accurate documentary, The Hurricane, as dramatised by Denzil Washington as Rubin Carter, was a good watch.

Another honorabl mention to Snatch: underground off-license boxing in UK, featuring Brad Pitt as a Pikey.

shame its tainted by the picture-postcard (and unashamed) Hollywood icon stallone became, but it's a stand alone movie regardless

Rocky II. Best part: Scene at hospital

Adrien: "There's something I want you to do for me"
    Rocky: "what?"
    Adrien: "Win Rocky win"

and all hell breaks loose and I was in a boxing gym the day after
