Eastwoods Million Dollar Baby is the best recent one, edging out Cinderella Man on SD I rekcon. hell, forgot the Fighter, great but personally I thought Bale's performance was rather hammy and OTTP and Whalberg was somewhat old for the role. Of the Classic Era I'd go with Ragin Bull o course and Rocky1. Wayback, I'd go with Somebody Up There Likes Me. The best doc of all time will surely remain When We Were Kings. If someone could make a doc of Lewis Schmeling in the same mould it would be awesome too. There are plenty of good documentaries but WWWKs is the standout, exhilarating to watch but informative too.
Braddock - "... you think you're telling me something, like boxing's dangerous, something like that." Cinderella man
Boxing movies never can make the fights look realistic. As for the story line, there are some good ones. I personally like Against the ropes with Omar Epps and Meg Ryan.
Cinderella Man is great, Tough to go against Rocky though. I like- Million Dollar Baby Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, and Rocky Balboa... hell, even Rocky V was better than I usually will admit Somebody Up There Likes Me Raging Bull Cinderella Man The Fighter Ali The Hammer (2007, Adam Carolla) Requiem For A Heavyweight The Great White Hope Grudge Match Others that are ok- The Price Of Glory Undefeated (2003) The Great White Hype Gladiator (1992) Play It To The Bone
