How good was sotto carras and maidana, best fight of the night imo. But the last round of Martinez JCC was intense :happy
Ya what a great ****ing night of boxing for sure! Also add the FOTY candidate we had in Hernandez vs Ross earlier in the day and it was definitely one of the best boxing days I've had in a while. Perhaps all year.
The last round of Martinez/Chavez one of the most intense boxing moments I have experienced in quite some time. Canelo/Lopez was fantastic. Lopez showed great heart, and Alvarez showed immense offensive skill. Lopez getting up from the body shots was amazing. I'll never miss a fight from either guy. Maidana/Karass was just a war. Always love seeing Maidana. Great to see his skills improve. Karass put on a very gutsy performance. Rigondeaux looked great outside of a few shaky moments. His KD in the 12th was just picture perfect. Martinez/Beltran was a great back and forth battle. I need to rewatch this one, because I missed bits and pieces, but I saw most of it and it was great. Macklin's performance was nice and dominant. So yeah, incredible night, overall.
it's about 1 am here in the west coast sf, california and i'm fresh as a daisy. can't even sleep feels like i've had a gallon of coffee. high off boxing.
call me crazy but when macklin won i was so happier for buddy mcgirt than for macklin. it's been so long since i've seen him in a winning corner. can't even remember the last time he was in a winning corner. do you know if he still gets paid for this fight since the fight ended before mcgirt can offer him any water?
I only caught the first 2 rounds before I switched to the other card. I will watch that when I get the chance. I read from a few other posters beltran should have got the nod? I loved the Maidana fight and thought sotto was going to pull the upset when it seemed Marcos was gassing
I thought Beltran won it but Martinez gave as good as he got, This is the best fight ive seen since Morales-Barrera 1 :thumbsup
