I wouldn't describe myself as a 'Hatton cynic'. And I don't think he didnt expect to win against Mayweather. I'm saying that when you move up a division to fight the number one P4P in the world it's a risk in the sense of how likely you are to lose. But losing is not in particularly detrimental to your future prospects/earning power versus the fight not taking place. On the other hand, winning would have yealded massive rewards in terms of legacy, prestige, future earning power. Risk v Reward is in your favour. Calzaghe losing to Kessler would have been more detrimental to his career than Hatton losing to Mayweather. Calzaghe losing to Lacy would have left him fewer places to go than Hatton losing to Tszyu. He could have gone to LH and angled for a fight with Jones. I'm not entirely convinced that, at the time that was viable, Jones would have been interested, but who knows. Hopkins purposly priced himself out of a fight with Calzaghe, as has been well documented. Tarver? Calzaghe fought much better opposition staying at SMW. I don't see not fighting Johnson as a major blot on his career. I dont really see how people rate Johnson so highly though. He's lost plenty of times, including to Sheika who Calzaghe then beat.
Calzaghe at number 1 easily. I cant see how Hatton can be rated higher. After Calzaghe, I would probably go with Hatton, Haye, Witter and Woods as the next 4, in that order.
This guy is a damn idiot. He's a Haye and Hamed nuthugger and a Calzaghe hater. Also, he knows **** about boxing.
He has been posting some absolute crap on here lately. I don't post on here a lot, but I just feel the need to respond to some threads. His posts are literally unbelievable.
