Best British fighter today ?

There was a 6 month gap, your being a bit harsh on (what i assume is) your fellow countrymen

 

Because it's like an up and coming boxer now,if he just won the title for the first time,would he suddenly be thrown in with the best? no he wouldn't,and obviously being warren they were not gonna risk so much so soon,but which promoter would? it would only have been calzaghe's 2nd,3rd or 4th 12 round fight.

 

Yeah it would have been absolute ****ing suicide to chuck in Calzaghe with RJJ at 168 whilst he was there. This is about a full year before Calzaghe-Eubanks, so there is no way that he would have had the experience to deal with RJJ at this stage.

Whilst it would have theoretically been possible for the two to meet during RJJs stay at 168, it would have been very poor management for Calzaghe to fight him. Not even Calzaghes harshest critic could accuse him of ducking RJJ with any level of seriousness.

All I can say is that once JC has disposed of Kessler that he doesnt waste one of his few remaining fights on RJJ at LHW. That would be ****ing terrible!
