Upcoming fight with Flanagan against Zepeda, I was wondering who you guys think the best British lightweight is ? List includes these boxers -

    Kevin Mitchell
    Tommy Coyle
    Luke Campbell
    Derry Mathews
    Anthony Crolla
    Terry Flanagan
    Scotty Cardle
    Other (specify)

Kevin Mitchell quite comfortably in my opinion. The second best isn't on your list.

Luke Campbell will prove to be the best by far in the next couple of years.

for me its luke campbell, this guy is the real deal. i would honestly back him to beat mitchell and burns right now. his speed, accuracy and he can punch too both mitchell and burns would not be able to handle his fast hands imo.

    1) For those who voted for Luke Campbell, you reckon he does not get the exposure that someone like Mitchell or even Coyle does ?
    2) He's not really spoken about much as a future world champ (considering the weakness of the 135lbs division, he should pick one up barring injuries), along with barely being promoted. Is it because he's not as good as people say, or due to his weak opposition or any other aspect ?
    3) Out of the current Lightweight champions, who do you think he can beat ? (if not all)

1 if i understand what you mean correctly!! i think his exposure has been dumbed down a bit since his fathers illness so he isnt in the spotlight quite as much.

    2. i think if you ask most people on this or any other forum or people in the game they would all tip luke to be a future world champion. i actually think he is underestimated and his opposition is no worse than other fighters at this stage in his career! imo he will take out coyle within 6 rounds in his next fight.

3.imo he needs a few fights at british/euro level this year then i would fancy him to give any of the champions a run for their money and probably beat them.

Yeah Burns is still as good as most, showed that in his last fight. Mitchell is the pick of the bunch, Campbell has the most potential but cant be considered the best yet.

Kevin mitchell just gave linares a bloody good fight. He was winning it. His durability at the top level doesn't seem to be enough, but I'd still have him to beat the rest of the british lot.
Campbell will be in a year or 2.

Burns lost a few but has been fighting the top 10s one after the other. Crawford is a top 15 p4p fighter. Zlaticcin is proving to be a world class fighter. Figueroa is ranked number 1 at lightweight.
    Non stop hard fights.
