best ones I've got are Hagler, Gatti, Barrera, Carl Thompson, Naz, Hearns, Duran and RJJ (ignoring recent fights)

    Calzaghe's aint bad either tbh

I find Roy Jones fights tedious, if they aren't tedious, he's just whooping on some guy with a million and one chance of beating him.

    I agree about Roy Jones.

He just fought opponents with pretty looking records, delve a bit deeper and there's not a great deal of quality there.

Toney is probably his best win but he's always been overrated and lazy..... Hill had lost to DM in the fight immediately prior and was past it by then..... Hopkins was pretty green.

The rest are pretty average. It's strange how now that he's beyond shot he's taking more risks, Calzaghe, Lebedev etc.

    Of current fighters......

    Shane Mosley
    Miguel Cotto
    Manny Pacquiao
    Erik Morales
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    The Marquez bros
    Carl Froch

    Past fighters.....

    Hagler
    Hearns
    Duran
    Foreman
    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Trinidad

It doesn't surprise me to be honest, I guess he is of the opinion he has nothing to lose, nothing to protect now.

I will throw Ray Mancini's career set in there, that is probably my favourite, every fight is a war, accept for the Camacho fight Lol

Mancini's wars with Bramble were epic.

Diego Corrales is a good set to have. I have about 26 of his fights and most are entertaining!

  8. To do the torrent thing you need a client to open them in.. I use one called Vuze.. Download the torrent file and then open them in vuze and they will start downloading.. Its pretty simple once you've done it a few times..

I give full credit to Roy for the Toney and Hopkins wins. Those two alone are better then anything on say, Mayweather's record. Hopkins may've been 'green' but Roy wasn't a vet either (shame Hopkins didn't fancy a rematch until Roy was shot). Toney's lazy yes, but also one of the most natural fighters to step into a ring. He's as comfortable in that ring as we're in the shower, Toney is also one of the best late round fighters ever! Fatigue ment nothing to him, his skillset apart from his poor feet is off the chain and for Roy to completely neutralise and dominate him was extremely impressive. No one could even try to discredit that win IMO.

Toney was favoured to beat Roy when they fought lets not forget. That version of Toney is a great win, even though he may've been having weight problems he was physically prime and undefeated. I don't think he's overrated tbh, what tends to happen is people forget his prime years and only have in their minds the fat one in the heavier weights in the latter part of his career, it's like how people only remember Michael Spinks for his heavyweight stint and particularly the Tyson fight.

Watch his fights with McCallum, Prince Charles Williams and Iran Barkley who were brillient fighters in their own right and then tell me James Toney is overrated. You know all about Barkley being a Hearns fan ;) and Charles Williams was no joke either, he was a little like Glen Johnson solid, tough fighter. Toney has wins of the great Mike McCallum and Michael Nunn who at the time was among the best 3/4 best fighters in the world. I don't even need to get into the likes of Jirov...Give Roy a break, BB. That's two ATG's he beat from the gate for his first two straps.

I think in general people are little harsh in critising Roy for his level of competition. At light heavyweight he cleaned up and dominated for almost a decade, only missing Darius M. He never really had great competition and names to fight apart from Darius and i don't really blame him for not travelling to Germany when he was making a killing fighting anyone. He was the attraction and it's Darius who should've travelled IMO. At 168 he missed our boys which was a shame, but i don't really blame Roy or Nige and Chris for that matter, it's just one of those things where they were all milking it in their own countries and there didn't seem to be the willingness to make it happen on the TV networks and promoters side.

Roy was a freak who dominated for almost 15 years, across 3 weights. His athleticism and boxing brain was incredible (check out how he turned Toney's strength into a weakness i.e the shoulder roll). His legacy is better then Bernard Hopkins', Toney's, Mayweather's and a few other forum favourites, he's p4p a better fighter then the likes of Michael Spinks IMO (that should tell you something). Roy Jones was a pleasure to watch even against scrubs, as he always put on a show. :good

It goes without saying that his legacy is better than Mayweather's..... Floyd is probably one the biggest wastes of talent in the history of boxing.

Kinda like George Best in football - Bestie ruined his by spending too much time drinking and shagging (can't blame him for this btw :hey) whereas Floyd has spent way too much time trying to convince himself that he's the dogs.... having fought nothing resembling a prime, active fighter in their proper weight class in close to 7 years.

Don't get me started on Hearns/Barkley  - I felt sorry for Hearns going out like that.... but Barkley also, he got the biggest win of his career and was probably ruined, having been put to the sword for all bar one second of the fight.

Toney is an old timer. His light heavyweight period was pathetic (losses to the likes of Tiberi mean I can't possibly rank him amongst the Elite greats) but he literally got by on chin, toughness and pure ability and gave beasts like Sam Peter a good fight.

Jones' win over Toney was one of the best si gle wins of the 90s, especially for the manner in which he achieves it. Just does whatever he wants, Toney barely gets anything going, although he lands one or two left hands throughout the fight, which don't bother Roy too much.

I re-watched the fight recently, and Roy Jones with his legs beneath him was a sight to behold. To a fighter who was very plodding and relied on upper body movement to counter like Toney, Roys bursts of punches all over, before being gone before Toney could retaliate, made for a frustrating night for am ATG talent.

Jones was sick, I would definitely recommend his career set.

I'd love a Kalambay career set. Slip, what of his two fights with Herol Graham; quality wins in your opinion?

Durans win over Barkley was truly insane. Another fantastic fight in the Duran set, arguably my favourite Duran fight. Showed all of his slick boxing-tough guy routine, as well as showcasing possibly the best right hand of all time. So accurate, so varied, so hurtful.

I'm surprised I'm the only one to mention Shane Mosley.

Can't say I've ever been bored watching his fights..... unlike Mayweather, DLH, and so many others.

That whacking of Margarito was both sick and brilliant..... especially given the circumstances. No idea what odds you'd have got on a stoppage.

    Yeah, I've got Shanes boxset.

I find his Lightweight reign massively overrated, both in opposition (some decent names) not the performances.

I think he really came into his own at 147, for sure. I love how he bludgeoned Margarito to the mat. Savage beatdown.

I might get ESB's resident artist JETSKI to paint the image where Shane hits Margarito for the last time just as the ref steps in.....

Hands down, as if to say ''Who's the ****ing daddy?''

I didn't bother staying up for that one because I knew Margarito would win..... how shocked I was over brekkers the next day :nut
