Almost anybody has a chance of beating Klitschko if they come to fight. History has shown that he can't handle pressure very well.
Vitali's biggest challenge is Father Time right now. The best challenger amongst the current crop? Wladimir.
Haha........Haye has no chanse at all. He has no chanse of beating a top 10 fighter. A fighter who got KOed by an old Car l Thompson does not belong in the same ring as Vitali! You must be very British or very stupid in believing that Haye can win. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards AmagerFC/ Boris
So, let me understand; HW boxing will be better when its 2 best boxers are gone? ....leaving the inferior members of the "**** heap" to rule the division? That doesn't make sense, Suge. What you should be rooting for is one of the "KLITs" to take down Valuev, who is the last standing joke of a title holder. Then, finally, the titles will be in the hands of worthy champions. What would then be good for HW boxing is if someone were able to defeat one or both of the Klitschkos. I see no such fighter on the horizon, however.
David Haye: I cannot see a 215lb fighter with a weak chin, stand much of a chance. People put alot of emphasis on Haye's speed, but it seems to me he has stamina issues. If the fight goes past 6 rounds, i see him getting tired out. When that has happened his speed diminishes and he will get picked apart by Vitali's long jabs. Juan Carlos Gomez: A good outside fighter, with a good counterattack. Did not look impressive in his last fight with Virchis. He appears to have problems finishing his opponents, i think he his more than happy to win on points rather than stoppage. This fight would unlikely go to the scorecard, and i would see him survival mode against Vitali, more likely he gets stopped. Povetkin: Has a good tight guard, strong in clinches, superior footwork. He has all the top class european straits for a boxer nowadays. Fights alot like Ibragimov, he wins alot of his fights by his physical bullying on the inside. It won't work though on Vitali, so he will taste the canvas at the later stages of the fight. Chris Arreola: Good power, can take alot of punishment, before stopping his opponents. He is a pressure fighter who prefers to fight toe to toe, he likes to take risks, and has been successful so far in his career. Yet still he has a leaky defense, and has a style which is easy to hit. Vitali would take him down in a fight that would not go past 6 rounds. Chris would have problems hurting Vitali aswell.
You're missing some logic here Suge. You describe the HW division as a **** heap. (It isn't but that's another issue) Presumably, if it's a **** heap, that would be due to the dearth of good quality HW boxers. And so, how will the departure of the Klitschkos fix that problem ?
of the mentioned fighters, none. i think peter was not the same that fought wlad the same that fought vitali, but had vitali been active during that time, the fight would of had same result. if think chagaev's awkwardness, southpaw style would have best results vs. vitali like chris byrd and corrie sanders did, and even they still couldn't beat vitali. chagaev did have stamina problems at the end of his fight with valuev, and with him being inactive for so long with the injuries most likely he would not be 100% vs. the most dangerous heavyweight on the planet which he would need to be. the only tested way to beat vitali is stopping the guy on cuts rather than going for broke, so someone with a fast jab and movement like chagaev would have the best chance imo
Vitlai whips all names here. I think his toughest opponent is father time. At age 37, Vitlai might only have 2-3 good fights left, though he looked excellent vs Sam Peter.
