Best chance of beating him probably Wilder on a lucky punch. Winning the most rounds against him (maybe 3 on a stretch) current Povetkin.
He is a better boxer than ever before. Povetkin could pick some rounds against him in a fair rematch.
no he's slipping imo. He is 39 years old now I could see an upset this or next year. He was at his best around 2007 until 2011. Wladimir is the superior boxer but he is getting slower. Wilder, Fury, Joshua or Ortiz are huge puncher and someone of them might land the lucky punch
After he destroys Jennings, I wonder what people here are going to say about this subject. Some of you don't understand the longevity that favors today's "modern" athlete. Wlad has maintained his sharpness in every area at the age of 39. Modern "sports science" is not to be underestimated. Many boxers can have longer careers these days as a result. Wladimir has never been in a war, nor has he taken a sustained beating in the ring either. Haters are just going to have to accept his continued dominance for a while, because he's clearly not losing to any of the guys named in this thread.
Povetkin with a decent ref. Wlad can't fight on the inside to save his life and Povetkin was slipping his jab before the exhaustion of contantly holding up 250 pounds of Waldo set in.
There's one fighter in recent years that fought Wladimir and showed how to beat him but he himself didn't even realize what he was doing so of course he lost.
Wilder Wlad has trouble when guys are tall enough to hit him without having to get too close where they can be tied up.
