If we had to wager on any one fighter from the Klitchsko's time of dominance as world champions to end this dominance, which fighter would it be. I know it is easy to say no one could have beaten them, but the reality is that all fighters have a chance of winning. So, if you were forced, who would you put your money on to beat the klitchskos.

Would it be someone like Sam Peter, who came reasonably close in one of their fights, who you think might be able to do a bit better with a change of luck.

Or would it be a Nicolai Valuev who would have a size advantage over both brothers. Maybe an Andrew Golota, who was highly thought of by many due to his Bowe wars in his younger days. Or a David Tua who had the chin to trade and the power to KO them. Old HOlyfield might have had the class, heart and experience in the early days such as when he pushed Valuev all the way to beat the Klitchskos. An Old MCCall had a rock solid chin and some power, maybe this would test them.

So, who would you give the best chance of upsetting the broncos and at what stage of the reign would they have given them the best fight

I guess that Brewster beat Wlad closest to his prime, and Peter came the closest to doing it of anybody since Brewster.

That gives us our model of what to look for, and it is not an encouraging one.

Do you think thought that there were any decent challengers they didnt face that might ahve had a chance? Tua comes to mind, particularly against Wlad.

And what about Ruiz he wasnt good to watch according to most, but he was pretty succesfful and more proven than the vast majority of Klitchskos actual challengers.

Tua was way past prime by the time Wlad became a champion.

Well by most of what I've read we need someone who ideally could make the lhw division today.

Someone giving up about 3 stone in muscle and a foot in height.

One of the few people to acomplish the feat was a future light heavyweight, so go figure.

Chambers might have had an outside chance of outpointing Vitali, and I think Haye had the right sort of tools to combat Vitali's strengths, though not necessarily the mindset to capitalise on them.

For Wlad it becomes a lot more difficult. You need to have a combination of high level punching power combined with innate physical and mental toughness to take Wlad out of his comfort zone, else the chances are that he's just going to outbox the socks off you. The only fighter outside of Peter and Brewster who's possessed those traits since Wlad came to dominance is Kubrat Pulev, but he's a little too stylistically basic for me to give him much of a chance. He's also yet to fight a boxer with truly top level skills, and I have a feeling he'll come badly undone if he does.

I'm not sure why so many people are high on Valuev's chances simply because he's bigger than Wlad. The skill difference is vast, and it's not like a fighter of Wlad's ability won't be able to accomplish what his victims in Haye and Chagaev, and even old Holyfield, managed.

Mike Prez bringing the performance from prizefighter.
He only fought 3 rounds but thats all it would take.
You cant beat guys like that with single straight punches.
Wlad would never go anywhere near a fighter like him.
