He wasn't average. Not a HOF material but he had fought internationally and had title fights in Germany and U.K. He also had fought for World Title in Germany and Poland after he had lost first fight for this title. He was 1-1 vs Wlodarczyk and 1-0 vs Huck and also had fought vs Adamek, not only vs this Fury. Not just average he was. Prime Cunningham was good.
Wach is with good chin yeah. He also is huge, he actually was a bit larger and not lighter than Wlad when they feed 27-0-0 Wach to fight for a title vs Wlad. Later was fight vs Povetkin, this too then was not enough old and even managed to stop him but Wach wasn't down there, if I'm correct. Dude for sure is a bit larger than prime Wlad and durable.
Disagree. AJ and Whyte have never been dropped or hurt by guys as poor as Cunningham, Pjakic or Flirtha.
Cunningham went into the fight with Fury having lost 3 of his past 4 fights and the only one he won was against a journeyman Jason Gavern. Cunningham's last notable win was 6 years prior to fighting Fury.
Not on the list is Wach, who otherwise would be very much in the hunt. Fury. He got up from the most devastating 1-2 in the sport. Joyce seems to be solid as well but needs better comp to prove it.
Wouldn't Fury climbing off the deck after being essentially knocked out by Wilder in the first fight be more to do with his powers of his recovery as opposed to his chin / punch resistance?
