Jokes aside Garcia has a very good chin and should deserve a mention but when you compare him with the likes of Ruslan his chin becomes china.
Wach Provodnikov Rios Golovkin Garcia dropped down because he was getting buzzed by Peterson, and if Peterson stepped on the gas earlier, Garcia might've been stopped. Golovkin just hasn't faced a good heavy-hitter. Rios showed his chin against Chaves eating Chaves' punches like candy. People exaggerate how much Stevens touched up Golovkin. It was nowhere near Chaves/Rios or Matthysse/Provodnikov level.
Yeah. Hopkins and Pascal probably both deserve mentions. Yeah, yeah ... I know Pascal got flattened by Kovalev but I don't really hold that against anyone, that aside he hasn't been down despite an unfortunate habit of getting hit in the head ... a lot. Froch, Dawson, Bute (in the last coupla rounds) and recently Gonzalez weren't really able to make a dent in him or if they did stun him he's always shown great powers of recovery. Hopkins would seem to have an ATG chin, though with the caveat that he actually only gets hit clean rarely due to his defensive prowess. That said, the bombs he ate from Kovalev, especially in the final round, would have floored the vast majority of fighters in and around the weight.
Golovkin. Never been floored in hundreds of fights, which is unique between all boxers. Ate some monster shots during his career that bounced his head back and forth, he didn't even get wobbly. Golovkin's head is 50% bigger than Mike Tyson's one... and Mike was an heavyweight. https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u.../uploads/2014/01/gggtyson011214globes.jpg&f=1
If you've watched boxing for more than a year, you know Bradley does have power to the body. You also know that Bradley exclusively rocked Ruslan to the body, liver shots and all that jazz. Likewise, if you know anything about boxing ANYONE can get rocked to the body. Garcia has a good chin. Floyd is floyd. Can't think of too many guys on the come up who pack granite. Also getting knocked down once does not mean poor chin.
I swear some of y'all don't know anything about boxing. Speed and accuracy is just as good as pure power. A shot a guy doesn't see is >>>>>any pure power shot. So when y'all throw shade at Garcia for getting buckled by Peterson, look at how those shots got set up. Lateral movement combined with speed and accuracy. Likewise, Lamont was holding onto his punches releasing high and tight or low like uppercuts turned into hooks. Hence the punches were outside of the vision cone/peripheral vision of Garcia. If you look at the cross Garcia took from Lucas that knocked his custom mouthpiece out, that should be a testament to his chin. And another example of his ****ty defense. I swear some of y'all know nothing about boxing.
:roflpatsch I thought I had seen everything. Khan has possible one of the worst chins I've seen on any rated fighter in over 20 years of following the sport.
