You've probably seen this before, but I love the Dempsey combo that puts Tunney down for the "long count": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI-pD8VIeN8#t=5m54s
When Miguel Canto defended his title against Jiro Takada, he nailed a six hook combination in mid ring, en route to his only stoppage win in a title bout. Canto was amazingly quick, and could throw any punch effortlessly. JohnGarfield's right though, SRR was the combination master, and this made an indelible impression on a young Body Snatcher.
Pernell Whitaker vs Buddy McGirt II is the best sustained display of effective combination punching I've ever seen. For variety and accuracy, it's sublime.
Good call. At one point in the fight (maybe the 8th?) Whitaker let loose a 10 punch, 100% accurate combo on McGirt. Sublime stuff. edit: Just rewatched it. It was the 6th round, and 8 or 9 landed. Still, an excellent combo all the same. It's at the beginning of this video on the replay. [yt]2tfCy-vufk8[/yt]
Addie had a particular gif involving the two men in my avatar - a sugar-sweet combination to the head and body, which also showed the incredible grit and chin of the man taking it.
That's a brilliant Barrera video mate. His combos were almost as evil as his haircuts! Don't suppose you know the song which accompanies that vid??
