1. Larry Holmes Carlos Monzon 2. Roberto Duran 3. Salvador Sanchez 4. Wilfredo Gomez 5. Albert Davila 6. Jose Napoles 7. Miguel Canto 8. Bob Foster 9. Marvin Hagler 10. Alexis Arguello
In my opinion Leonard. He had everything: the style, speed, accuracy, timing...the flair. Probably the most effective and clean combinations. In the HW Division: - Tyson was the best combination Puncher of that era at all. - Dokes (because of his insane handspeed) - Also Holyfield threw some clean and acurrate combinations.
How OP can leave Leonard off this list is quite head scratching. Probably not an objective poster. Larry Holmes at no. 1?
1) Leonard 2) Pryor 3) Monzon 4) Duran 5) Hearns 6) Ali 7) Holmes 8) Benitez 9) Braxton/Qawi 10) Napoles
Sanchez was a master at 21. He most likely would have been recignized as a top5 ATG if he lived. Loved watching him.
Larry Holmes a combo puncher? Give me a break lmao. 80s Mike Tyson was the best combo puncher hands down
Solid list. Terry Norris is another guy that comes to mind but then again, most of his success came in the 90's so he probably does not belong.
There was a period where Tyson threw two and three ... maybe even four ... punches at a time. But it was short-lived. He soon regressed to one big punch at a time and then a clinch.
