Best comeback in a fight ever??

After watching Kelly Pavlik looking completely down and out in the 2nd round of his 1st fight v Jermain Taylor, I got to thinking what is the closest anyone has come to stoppage defeat, and recovered to win?

I remember Nigel Benn looking out in the 1st round v Gerald McClennan was similar, and was Corrales not close to defeat v Castillo before he came back and won?

    Any other good examples?

i think the best comeback would be castillo-corrales one.

    Recent example: holt-torres 2

Corrales-Castillo 1...that fight could have been stoped, but Corrales came and caught Castillo and stopped him.

    the three listed

    benn vs mcclellan
    pavlik vs taylor
    corrales vs castillo

benn vs mcclellan was an extraordinary affair in the first round, but there was never any indication that nigel was 'ready to go', whilst pavlik was one decent punch away from being taken out.

chico vs castillo was just an unbelievable fight, neither of them were ever the same again after (chico espec).

Marquez against Pacquiao is a good one also. 3 knockdowns in the first round is hard to come back from!

Mike Weaver 1980 WBA title fight w/ John Tate 15th round, lost almost every second of the fight and then lands a picture perfect left hook and Tate is laid out for 20 minutes.

    Freitas-Barrios is highly underrated here.

It Was A Guy That I Seen On Showtimes Greatest Comebacks ... And This Guy Had A Broke Jaw ... I Mean His Jaw Was Hanging (way Worse Than Abrahams) And This Guy Was On The Verge Of Getting Stopped And He Came Back To Knock His Foe Out.

I Want To Say Alejandro Berrio, But I'm Sure It Wasn't Him ... I Just Know He Was Dark Skinned And Bald.

Acelino Frietas Against Jorge Barrios Was A Good One Too ... He Was On The Verge Of Getting Stopped Then All Of A Sudden He Got A Surprise Knockdown And Won The Fight.

Chico V Castillo Was A Good One Too - Even Though Chico Shouldve Had Points Taken Away Or Been Dq'd For That ****.

If That Was Steve Smoger He Wouldve Let Chico Fight W/o That Mouthpiece ...

It's not on the list because Freitas was ahead on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.
