Moore off the floor six times to win the first Durelle is generally considered the modern standard bearer.
Marquez-Pac I. Marquez got the **** kicked out of him in the first, survived, recovered, then won the majority of the next 11 rounds.
Castillo - Corrales I has to be the greatest comeback. Honourable mention to JMM in his first fight with Pac. Also, Jack Johnson getting put down by Stanley Ketchel, then jumping straight back up and smashing SK's teeth into the next world with the very next punch. "Hit me would ya? Well, take that...BOOM" And then there's Jack picking teeth out of his glove in the corner while Ketchel lies unconscious on the apron. Quality. Sure, the fight may have been originally fixed by the two fighters to go the distance, and Ketchel tried to double-cross Johnson by knocking him over, but its still an impressive feat to get straight up from a heavy blow and decapitate your treacherous opponent with a mega-ton bomb to the gob in the very next blow.
I guess you could call Calzaghe vs. Hopkins a comeback fight. Calzaghe got KD and lost the first 3-4 rounds and then came back to win the fight.
i was thinking Calzaghe, how early was that knockdown - first minute wasnt? For anyone watching and supporting Nigel Benn this thread is surely all about him - he was out of the ring at pne point
for anyone who hasn't seen it, this is why danny williams has to wear those massive trunks. [YT]QY1jzjTjIhY&feature=related[/YT]
