For me, I would actually buy HBO if HBO gets rid of Lampley, Merchant and Kellerman and get these guys to replace:

Al Alberts: Particulary the blow by blow.
    Sean O'Grady
    Dave Bontempo
    Bobby Czyz

Yeah, Ian Darke was quite good but I'm figuring that he wouldn't want to come across the pond.

Gil Clancy was alright but I felt Bobby and Dave were better able to verbalize their insights. At the end of RJJ-Pazienza, Dave's comment about how a normal fighter would have to switch positions 5 times to do what RJJ did to Pazienza in the final 5 seconds really stuck in my mind how well he can talk boxing.

Al Bernstein is the best imo. John Scully was very good also.

The level of bias in Merchant's commentating is inexcusable. It's just plain embarrassing.

I like the metaphors and messages from Teddy Atlas.. good commentator and can break a fight down into terms anyone can understand or relate to. I think Lampley and Kellerman and Merchant are boring because a lot of the time they don't know whats really going on in a fight so I try to ignore them and concentrate on the fighters. Only one who atleast tries to know what hes talking about is Steward but he has such an ego that he always changes his mind and makes it seem like he always knew what was gonna happen..
