This is what happens when a guy fights bums for so long. It’s easy to look good knocking out overmatched opponents. The same is true of Tank Davis. He’s feasting on cans, bums and washed up older guys. Wait until he fights a top fighter at his weight. Forget about 140, you will never see him fight a top 140 fighter. He’s still afraid to face a real challenger at 135.

Wilder is the same guy he always was. Great power but bad boxing skills. Fury would have exposed him years ago when Wilder was on his bum crushing tour.

Wilder is a strange beast. He lacks basic boxing fundamentals, balance, punch selection, but he's exceptionally good at landing that monstrous right hand flush. He does one thing, great.

Yep, that monster right hand covers up a lot of gaps in his boxing game. He’s a one trick pony and when Tyson took away that truck, he had nothing. Toothless tiger, more like a toothless declawed tiger. Tyson slipped or ducked so many rights in that first fight. Wilder had no answer except to get his head pounded in relentlessly. I suspect the next fight will be similar.

But his level of opposition has been largely pathetic... Which makes that consistency of landing that big right flush a little less impressive.

Ortiz has never been in with anyone other than Wilder who's better than Jennings (his best win) so we don't really know how hard it is to land it on him, other than that Wilder didn't find it easy.

We also know that Wilder has struggled to land it on some quite poor fighters (Szpilka?) and found it very quickly on others (Breazeale?).

I've thought for some time that he knows he'd struggle with many of the better fighters in the division and that's why he's ducked so many of them (AJ, Pov, Wlad, Whyte) and only took on Fury because he looked like he was finished - Fury is the cherrypick that backfired.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if Wilder is a top 5 level fighter, he's always got a punchers chance but when he's chosen easy fights and avoided difficult ones you have to wonder.

I think Fury would feel lethargic at 15%. Maybe his day to day life would be fine, but in camp, I think that 15% would hinder his performance.

Fury will never have that trim gut or visible abs, but he carries excess weight around his arms. It´s visible.

    From ESPN: Real or Not?
Tyson Fury will be 300 pounds for his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder

Tim Bradley: Real. I believe Fury will try as hard as he can to reach 300 pounds before weigh-in time. But he needs muscle weight more than fat, so if he's going to accomplish that, he needs to start building that muscle as soon as possible.

It would benefit him most to build it from the waist down as well. Building too much muscle up top would only slow him down and hinder some of his strongest skills. With the style of fight expected from Fury, gaining weight wouldn't be a bad idea as long as it's done correctly.

When he deploys his offense, Fury's punches will hurt more with the added weight -- and the moment he leans on Wilder on the inside, it'll have an immediate effect there as well.

I'd be really surprised if he comes in over 280, but I've been surprised before.

Putting in leg days is rarely a bad idea, though it's odd to throw that one at Fury when Wilder has legs like Twiglets...
