just a thought: hopkins wasn't even breathing through his mouth when he tko'd tito. and he started his career at 175 moved down to 160 and stayed there for 20yrs. and still is in great condition, every fight, at over 40yrs old. that dude is in shape.
hard to judge in this day when you dont have 15 rounds. I find it amazing with all modern science/sports nutrition that very few guys feel comfortable to complete a full 12 rnds.
of recent times it has to be calzaghe. the sheer amount he throws and i've heard him talk about his training regime. even before the jones fight he was running up mountain roads and way ahead of everyone else
Pac, and Paul Williams! Williams in the Winky fight throwing at least 100 punches a round then going back to his corner and smiling.
It's the main reason I posted the thread, mate. You see fighters breathing with their mouths open nowadays after 10 rounds (a minority I may add but it is noticeable) and I just wanted to see if anyone could give me some examples of really well conditioned fighters from way, way back. :good I remembered Jess Willard. If you've never heard of him check his record: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=10602&cat=boxer The guy once did 26 rounds with Jack Johnson.
