For my lower back I really like doing back extensions on my roman chair. For my abs I'll do hanging leg raises from my pullup bar & use my power ab wheel. The ab wheel is one I got from power systems and the wheel is alot bigger than normal ab wheels. It has a place to hook your feet in so your feet go in and out instead of using your hands to roll it and in front of you. IMO it works alot better. Sometimes I'll do crunches in place of one of the ab exercises. I do back exts- 3x15-20, leg raises 3-25, and ab wheel 3x25. Sometimes if I'm in a hurry I'll just do 2 sets of each ab exercise. Hopefully this helps you some.

  3. Mate theres heaps of articles on this but i'll try and find the real helpful one i saved.

Basically they instruct you to train your core periodization style in 3 stages. First stage Stabilization, Second Stage Strength and Third Stage Power.

It's a 5 part series and a bit of a read but every bit of info valueable. Don't let softball theme put you off, same thing applies to boxing.

PS lots of good exercises in there if thats all you're after.
