So Freddie Roach can take the credit for working with great fighters even though he didn't 'school these guys in the gym in their younger days', but McCracken can't take the credit for working with successful fighters because he didn't 'school these guys in the gym in their younger days'.

Nothing like twisting the facts to suit a pre-determined opinion hey.

And as for Virgil Hunter - Are we conveniently ignoring the fact Angulo looked a shell of himself against Canelo? And that Hunter's advice between rounds was completely nonsensical? And that Khan's not exactly looked **** hot since he's been training with him?

When does the RoughD gym open? We can try and get word to Froch - he may still have time to let you impart some wisdom on him before the Groves fight.

That was my counter argument to everyone jumping on the rob McCracken team GB bandwagon. Obviously these fighters haven't been with pro fighters since they were nippers.

As for Virgil, his best fighter in ward is a defensive master and is technically great.

See my previous post where I said khan doesn't have the brain power to be taught defence. Froch is another, just doesn't have the brain power to know any better.

Virgil and roach proven great trainers

**** joke at the end btw

No ones jumping on the McCracken bandwagon. They're just pulling you up on some ridiculous statements. Do you not think it's a bit of strange that nobody is jumping in to agree with you and everyone seems to disagree?

You have to forget about Froch's achievements, the deep routed respect he has for his trainer, the amount of praise he heaps on Rob. Froch sticks his chin out occasionally, so therefor McCracken is a useless trainer

I think Froch and McCracken are two of the closest fighter/trainer partnerships you will see. I remember when Froch won his first world title in a ******* v Jean Pascal back in 2008. Post fight interview Froch found out Rob's mother passed away that day, but McCraken kept it quiet til after the fight. The look on Carl's face when he found out, showed how close a partnership they two have been.

People also forget Rob was a top fighter himself, fought for a world title.

It is near impossible for us fans to say who the best coaches are as a lot of their works done behind close doors, though some are clearly better in training camps and they are on fight night (Joe Gallagher an example). Do I think for example Joe Gallagher is properly better than Billy Nelson in the gym ? Yes but I think that's properly more to do with the fact he has the luxury of not needing to have another job, do I think his tactics/advice is better no I think Billy's is better. When I look at trainers who seem excellent in camp and on fight night I think of Peter Harrison, great tactician, Peter Fury, Chris Saniger, Rob McCracken, Adam Booth, Graham Everrett, Gary Lockett Billy Nelson Dominic Ingle are the best. A lot is to do with talent pool as I have no doubt Peter Harrison and Billy Nelson were based in the North West of England they would have had much stronger stables and more world champs over the years. With social media and that now I think Billy is getting his dues but I feel a lot of boxing fans in England don't realise how good Peter Harrison is, personally think he takes some beating.

1 the ingles - resume of what he's achieved is second to none - school boys to world champions,MULTIPLE/over decades.

    2 Gallacher - excellent stable,speaks for itself.

3 Harrison - small stable but over achieving with Fielding / Murray given their natural ability

4 Sims - time honoured servant , seasoned pros going to him.

5 Fury - amazing with Tyson but a lot of it was already Tysons ability

6 Coldwell - brought a few on late in careers, EXCELLENT job with G McDonnell though.

7 Nelson / Harrison - couldn't split either Scott had exceptional talent, Ricky had heart - both trainers brought best out of them.

8 Booth - not personally a fan but stats speak for themselves.

9 Alex Matvienko - young trainer - personally seen exceptional work with L Blackledge

10 McGuigan - can't be truly credited with Frampton, however worthy of a mention by default.

10 McCracken - would of been much higher had he had a proper stable but as far as PRO trainers go he's only really Froch in so long.

Note - I EXPECT Kieron Farrell to be rising through this list over time, early days but the kid has the strongest mindset I've ever seen & is hounding the likes of Gallagher & co for advise / tips.. He's a sponge!
