Joan Guzman. Probably one of the best fighters of recent years in terms of talent.

ward by a mile. very cagey fighter.

guys like wlad, dirrell don't really deserve a mention. what they are doing do not require defensive skills

by the principle that ''offense is the best defense'' can't someone like pacquiao who has an amazing offense, take less punishment the someone with a good defense? Thus giving him a good defense.

Guys like Mayweather and Hopkins DO have a great offense. Look at how versatile they are, they can fight anywhere in the ring.

Concept of boxing has many levels, headbutting is something he likes to do but not a form of defense you only have to look at the guy to see he has potential to become gthe second coming of hopkins, and maybe even better then him as he has adopted the style at an earlier stage than the executuoner himself.

The first three names that jumped to mind for me were Hopkins, Ward, and Wlad.

well of course ward is gonna be one of the future stars of boxing, but i just can't like a guy who, as you said, "headbutting is something he likes to do" but idk, i'm interested in seeing what his future holds, but i like Dirrell though, slick southpaw style, a little too much running, but nonetheless pretty entertaining and my taste

Really...a guy with 12 fights against absolutely NO-ONE, is one of the CURRENT BEST DEFENSIVE FIGHTERS in the sport...REALLY?

I think Dirrell's defence is pretty good.

I don't think Clottey should be included since he loses his big fights. Going into a shell and not throwing back isn't good offense.
