Out of the 3 classic Cruiserweight bouts which one was the most exciting and dramatic in your opinion?

I'd rate them in this order.

    1. Qawi vs Holyfield 1
    2. Jirov vs Toney
    3. Eubank vs Thompson 1

I'd also say Mutti vs Murphy, Bell vs Mormeck 1, Thompson vs Sellers, Spinks vs Burnett, are all up there aswell.

All excellent fights but I feel - like many people - that Holyfield-Qawi I was the best CW bout of all time.

Holy v Qawi wasn’t even ppv. Nowadays you have to pay $75 to see trash fights. No wonder boxing is dying.

I see it the same with Qawi vs Holyfield as the clear number 1. I love all of the other fights you mentioned as well.

Another great CW fight that took place last year between Apochi vs Glanton. That fight is definitely worth a look for those of you that haven't seen it.

I have to go with Holyfield-Qawi at No. 1 but I’m biased because I was there.

Told this before, but I was in college and my Pop calls me like middle of the week and says, ‘Let’s go to the Holyfield fight this weekend.’ There was no hesitation, haha. He got us a flight and hotel rooms and we left Friday and came back Sunday. Had a great time.

Best fight I’ve ever seen live in person.

    I’d go Tony-Jirov second.

Agreed on 1-3, and great call out on Mutti-Murphy. What an absolutely grueling fight that was, ending with a double knockdown, and only Murphy beating the count. When that fight ended, Murphy seemed out of it to the point that it was hard to tell if he realized he was the winner...

Craziness - off of the Olympics controversy no less.
Qawi - Holy no doubt is #1

I just finished watching these three bouts strictly for the purpose of answering this question. (and enjoying good fights, of course) Each of these fights offered something special. Toney-Jirov had the dramatic 12th round knockdown. Thompson-Eubank was the one fight that never fell into a pattern. Each round was different and you never knew what to expect.

The best fight though, was Holyfield-Qawi. The complementary styles, the skill level and the sheer ferocity of the fighters made the fight a treat to watch.
