You missed Locche, Pep, Benitez, and Canto. All 4 of whom would make my top 5 defensive fighters of all time, along with Whitaker.

I don't think Benitez is as good as the other guys. James Toney I forgot as well, I already mentioned that. Well, you can still picked who you feel the best are out of the selection in the poll.

Then you simply haven't seen enough of him. Unquestionaly one of the finest defensive fighters of all time, easily ahead of the likes of Toney, Winky, Tyson, Ali, etc. Hell, even better than Mayweather and Hopkins. Perhaps the best head movement and subtle slips of all time, not to mention he was a magician on the ropes. Watch his fight with Hearns, one of the quickest, sharpest, most powerful and imposing offensive fighters of all time. You'll get an idea of just how good Benitez's defense was when reviewing that one. The Leonard fight is not a good example on the other hand, because while Leonard was clearly the better fighter, Benitez was not on his A game that night. A simple comparison between the Benitez of that night and the Benitez of the Hearns fight, or even the Cervantes fight at age 17 shows how sluggish he was in terms of speed, reflexes, focus, etc. Not that he'd have beaten Leonard otherwise, though.

Has to be Whitaker. He could make people miss like none other, tagging them all the while. Will make you laugh out loud just watching his clips.

There's a lot of names missing, and some names are on there that shouldn't be. From that list I like Hopkin's defense the best. Very rarely do you ever see him get hit cleanly. The man is damn near 44 and I can't even remember him even being wobbled and/or stunned. Hell, can anyone even name a fight where Hopkins' face was cut, lumped up, or noticeably swollen?
