    1)Nicolino "El Intocable" Locche
2)Willie "Will o’ the Wisp" Pep
    .
    3-10) Sweet Pea
    .
    .
    10-??) Floyd

Edit: Locche and Pep fight for the number one spot, I pick Locche. Sweet Pea is somewhere in the top 3-10 for me and floyd's bottom top 10 at best.

Im shocked Mayweather even got this many votes already.

I dont even consider him the best defensive fighter of this era, forget above Whitaker, whom I consider the best ever defensively.

Floyd Mayweather, Pernell has been Knocked down a few times, Floyd Never, Judah's knock down was not official and Mayweather's only real KD was because he went down on one knee of pain in his hand.

Willie Pep is considered by boxing historians the best ever.

The man once won a round and did not even throw a punch!

    All time or this era?

I dont really consider Whitaker or this era...so?

This era tho...Hopkins. All time, quite a few. Not a knock on Floyd, he is a MARVEL defensively and definately one of the best ever...but if we are comparing him to Whitaker in that right, its not really debatable.

Here is a vid to help you understand just how truely special Sweet Pea was defensively (make sure you watch the whole thing, they start to focus on his defense about midway through)...

Winky Wright was the premier defensive fighter of his era, not Floyd, not Hopkins, not Toney.
