Tyson vs Biggs is a personal favorite. Biggs was a talented
superheavy who had won a gold medal, and Tyson
made him miss a lot with jabs and powershots. I've
seen a lot of footage of Pernell and Toney, although
my ringside episode of Pernell got deleted. When
it comes to Floyd and Bhop I was impressed by Floyd
vs Marquez, and chico and BHOP vs Pavlik and Dawson even though he
lost. Id love to hear some more examples especially old
school guys like Pep, Locche etc. Ive seen a lot of highlights
for example the only full fight of Benitez Ive seen is against
Sugar ray, and although he got knocked down by a jab while
being off balance, he gave SRL fits. Sorry if this has been
done lately. Also do you guys rate Jack Johnsons defense as
high as I have heard, that he was a master of all aspects including
parrying and dodging? The footage Ive ssen of Johnson was
limited and did not seem as impressive as I would have thought,
however the footage was also weird bdcause it is old. So
    favorite displays of defensive fighting.

A lot of the impressive defensive displays have actually come when the defensive fighter has lost, maybe owing to the fact that the need to display extreme defense only gets employed when facing a superior offensive force and defense is the only means of survival.

    Some examples:

    Benitez vs. Hearns
    Benitez vs. Leonard
    Whitaker vs. DLH
    Lora vs. Perez
    Zapata vs. Chang I
Zapata vs. Bassa I & II
    Alvarez vs. Rosi
    Famechon vs. Saldivar
Starling vs. Curry (II in particular)
    Wright vs. Simon

Locche vs Cervantes 1 was probably the best ever I think......with every judge giving all the rounds to Locche.....
Unfortunately I never watched the full fight, not sure if it´s on film, only saw the last round...

Benitez against Hearns of '82 was impressive from a defensive stand point by Wilfred...... Yes, Yes, his offense sucked against Hearns, but that's not the point.....

Duran against Hagler and Davey Moore of 1983 was also very good on the behalf of Duran... Duran slipped, ducked and blocked many wicked shots by Hagler and Moore.....
